Purpose:
This Privacy Policy describes how CharityHost.org collects, uses, protects, and discloses information provided by Customers. The Policy is intended to ensure transparency and compliance with applicable law, and applies to all services offered by CharityHost.org.

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how CharityHost.org (“CharityHost.org”) collects, uses, and protects information provided by Customers. By using CharityHost.org services, Customers agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy, the Acceptable Use Policy (AUP), and the Terms of Service (TOS). This Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Kansas, United States.

2. Information Collected by CharityHost.org

CharityHost.org collects both Non-Personal Information (such as usage data, device/browser type, referring URLs) and Personal Information (such as email address or account credentials provided at registration). Information may also be collected through cookies and similar technologies for service improvement and security.

3. Use of Customer Information

Personal Information is used to provide services, respond to support or abuse requests, and communicate with Customers. Non-Personal Information is used for analytics, service improvement, and aggregate reporting. CharityHost.org does not sell or rent Personal Information to third parties.

4. Customer Data Privacy and Access

CharityHost.org maintains strict data privacy for all Customers. CharityHost.org does not access, monitor, or manage Customer content for unmanaged services, except as required by law or for abuse mitigation under the AUP or TOS. By requesting support, maintenance, managed, or backup services, Customers explicitly consent to CharityHost.org accessing relevant data as necessary to fulfill these services. Privacy expectations are limited in these contexts; however, CharityHost.org remains committed to safeguarding Customer data and limits access to only what is necessary for service delivery.

5. Legal Compliance and Policy Violations

CharityHost.org complies with all valid, lawful US-based subpoenas, warrants, and court orders. Customers acknowledge that violations of the AUP or TOS may result in the forfeiture of privacy expectations, including disclosure of information to authorities or affected parties as required by law or policy.

6. Data Retention Practices

CharityHost.org may retain Customer account information, billing records, access logs, usage data, and other relevant records for as long as necessary to fulfill service obligations, maintain security, satisfy end-of-year tax obligations, comply with legal requirements, or respond to a valid court order or subpoena. In the event of a legal hold or data preservation order, relevant data will be retained for the duration of the legal requirement, notwithstanding any otherwise applicable retention periods. Account and transactional records may be retained for up to seven (7) years, or longer if required by applicable tax or regulatory obligations. Data associated with backup or managed services is retained only as long as required by the specific service agreement. Data is securely deleted or anonymized once retention periods expire.

7. Marketing Communications and Service Termination

Customers may request to terminate services and opt out of marketing communications at any time by submitting a support ticket. Administrative or legal communications may still be sent as required. CharityHost.org retains minimal records of previous Customers for compliance purposes, as outlined above.

8. Children’s Information

CharityHost.org does not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If such information is discovered, it will be deleted promptly.

9. Third-Party Websites and Services

CharityHost.org services may contain links to external websites or applications. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third-party sites or services. Customers are encouraged to review the privacy policies of any external sites they visit.

10. Security Practices

CharityHost.org employs reasonable and industry-standard security measures to protect Customer information. Customers are responsible for safeguarding their account credentials and promptly reporting any suspected unauthorized access.

11. Business Transfers and Change of Control

In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or part of CharityHost.org’s assets, Customer information may be transferred as part of the transaction. CharityHost.org will continue to protect Customer information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

12. Modifications to Privacy Policy

CharityHost.org may update this Privacy Policy at any time. Significant changes will be communicated via a prominent notice on the website and will take effect 30 days after notification. Non-material changes take effect immediately. Posting such changes on the CharityHost.org website constitutes sufficient notice to all Customers, and no additional notice is required. Continued use of services indicates acceptance of any changes.

13. Contacting CharityHost.org

For any questions or concerns regarding this Privacy Policy or data practices, Customers should submit a ticket to the appropriate department (Support or Abuse) through the CharityHost.org support portal.

CharityHost reserves the right to update, add, or modify any provision at its sole discretion. All changes are effective immediately upon posting. This Privacy Policy is subject to and should be read together with the Acceptable Use Policy and Terms of Service, which may further define or limit privacy expectations.
